I agree. I think there's a lot of scepticism about OEL manga and anime, which is (in my opinion) closed-minded. Perhaps if the industry becomes bigger, then more people with more talent will get involved in it?
Personally, I *love* Dramacon and Off*Beat,and I'm encouraging my sister to continue with her original mangas- she's talented, so why not? I just think it's a little irritating when people say 'it's not from Japan, so it's not manga'- like I say, it feels closed-minded to me. Many such people profess to be annoyed about that same trait in people who say that manga and anime in general is stupid- it seems a little hypocritical to me, especially as most people don't seem to mind Korean or Chinese mangas.
Still, everyone is entitled to their opinion! I'm not a hentai fan, so I don't buy it. If you're not a fan of OEL manga, then my advice to you is exactly the same... just don't deny those who like it the pleasure of reading it, ok?
