I agree. I think there's a lot of scepticism about OEL manga and anime, which is (in my opinion) closed-minded. Perhaps if the industry becomes bigger, then more people with more talent will get involved in it?
Personally, I *love* Dramacon and Off*Beat, and I'm encouraging my sister to continue with her original mangas- she's talented, so why not? I just think it's a little irritating when people say 'it's not from Japan, so it's not manga'- like I say, it feels closed-minded to me. Many such people profess to be annoyed about that same trait in people who say that manga and anime in general is stupid- it seems a little hypocritical to me, especially as most people don't seem to mind Korean or Chinese mangas.
Still, everyone is entitled to their opinion! I'm not a hentai fan, so I don't buy it. If you're not a fan of OEL manga, then my advice to you is exactly the same... just don't deny those who like it the pleasure of reading it, ok?
Kōhi wa suki dewa arimasen... Je n'aime pas du café... I don't like coffee... why is this such a good phrase for me?
