Anime and Friends

I've been thinking lately, about how because of my unique hobby, I've never discussed any aniome with one of my close friends at school. I'm an ugly guy, I'll be blunt, but most of my friends right now are girls, one of whom, the girl I'm closest to, I've had a crush on for 1 1/2 years =P. But the wierd thing is that because of it, I feel like my friends have no idea who I am. My only friend who loves anime as much as I do is two years younger than me, goes to a different school, and has totally different tastes in the specific anime we like. I want to know, how many people are there who truely have friends to talk to about this in RL? Sorry for another long message, I have a problem expressing things in few words 0_o

I'd say I only have maybe 2 friends who DON'T like anime. We're all nuts about it O_o

My friends and I look like idiots when we talk about manga. We're not so public, but people still know we love it. :) lol...
But don't worry. Another reason why people are friends with eachother are because of different interests!

^^ none of my friends (except emi, duh) like anime... but they kinda get used to me talking about it all the time (same goes for jrock). lol

You shouldn't be afraid to mention that you like anime either, because if you meet new people, who knows, maybe they like it too? I'm sure you'll eventually find friends who like the same things as you do!

Hi i will say friends noo they dont like anime but my little brother was first intressted in anime , he was the one who got me intressted. the one i speak about anime is with my little brother, hes 2 years younger then me. and we bouth like jpop and jrock too. when i was younger i wanted a little sister but im glad i have a little brother that i share some interests with.
the only think i share with my bigsister is shopping nothing more.
my recent friends i got irl i meet them at school when we have same lessons, in my school there arent any classes just lessons.
And i got some friends here from diffrent countries...:D :D

Were I live, it's kinda difficult to find friends which like maga and animé, the way I like it. But there's some ^w^
I got around 7 friends who like animé, but the biggest part of them, I don't see a lot, because they live, in some other citis, long from me. Some of them, I have only see once <-<

But then I got a friend who live in the same city as me, and we are very good freinds, and she is a big animé/manga fan, like me. We talk a lot about manga and animé :D

But in my class, nobody likes animé or manga <.<""
They think I'm kinda weird, when I see/read it >____<
Then I'm glad I got all my other friends.. And I also got a lot of friends who don't like animé, and they are all nice <3

well some of my friends love them too, and sometimes i watch anime with my girl friend, but she barely understand it cause she cant speak english or japanese so i must translate it all the time

Well pretty much all of my friends are anime and manga freaks. We talk about it a lot of the time we are together and it only stays in our little circle, we aren't too open about things with other people. We are all pretty much anti-social.

as for my close friends and friends alike, i have never hidden the fact that i have interests in anime and the like, seeing as we all naturally have our likes and dislikes. in fact, of all of the people that were clueless about it that found out about it through me, i have never had one negative happening yet. really, i think it all depends on the personality of the people you are dealing with, and if these people are truly your friends, they would accept it and not bother teasing you about it, or act bitter or whatnot.

if you ever come across someone like that, ignore them.
they're clearly not worth your time,
never put yourself down over something like that, and always embrace what makes you unique, no matter what :]
