Who here has read Boys Over Flowers before?

I haven't, but just out of curiousity, why not put the title of the title you want to talk about in the title? There are tons of "Have you heard of this?" and "Have you read this?" titles here.

I have. I've watched the anime and the drama as well. I REALLY like the drama.

I haven't read it, but I loved the dorama!

Is the dorama true to the manga?

Well, for the most part. But like everything they changed it a little for the drama. Still excellent though.

The japanese name is Hana yori dango.

... although the manga would have no Shun Oguri or MatsuJun to perve on :p :D

I love the word games they play throughout the series, and in the title - 'danshi' to 'dango'. Makes me really want to perfect my Japanese!

I think there's a game called shiritori... I might be wrong though... It's fun to play... but we always get stuck on "ru" words... ^^"

I REALLY want to read it, but there's like ten billion books. So, I don't want to spend about $300 on one series that I can't find online to read.

I have a problem with buying people gifts. I tend to buy the first volume of long series, even though their really good series. people get mad saying, now I have to go pay $300+... thanks a lot... TT_TT All I want is to spread the love...

I read it and I loved it from the very first page. It's soooooo fantastic and the J-Dorama is even better ^^. :rheart:

BTW there is a chinese(?) version of the drama called Meteor Garden.

There was a Tiwanese version called 'Meteor Garden'. I don't know too much about it, besides that it is ALOT longer than the Japanese version.

I've read most of the manga, but that's it. I wouldn't mind watching the anime, though, maybe I should do that.
