Huh...Looking back on this, I think I know the answer (I've already started Sola...) but I'd still like to know. Did this kill the series for me? should it have killed it for me?

I'm surprised no one mentioned Kimi ga Nozoumu Eien. It is the Soap of Anime.

We watched in anime club one day. Basically, the girl is waiting for her boyfriend to show up, and she gets hit by a car. She ends up in a coma for a few years, and he is now dating her friend.

You should read NANA! It's my favorite romance manga ever! Also, pick up Ah! My Goddess, Absolute Boyfriend, and Punch! Those are some other good ones.
