Japanese Mistranslation

I have a question for Japanese speaker. If a foreigner screws up Japanese translation is it ever funny or just total nonsense?

The exact opposite happens all the time as this first post.

We can laugh at Japanse Engrish on signs. Unfortunately many foreign mistranslations happen on tattoos.

I recently say a woman with a very intricate Japanese (or maybe Chinese...or both) tattoo running down the back of her neck. It was supposed to say something like "strong loving mother" but the characters were mirror images of themselves. She obviously didn't know it, as she wore a low back shirt to show it off.

In answer to your question, yes, you get both.
