I want to learn Chinese...

Does somebody helps me?

packetpirate 11-20-2009 07:32 PM

Before you try learning another language, you might want to get a solid hold on your own, first.

honoraryjapanesegirl 11-20-2009 10:42 PM

Umm...yeah okay, rude much, packetpirate? I cannot speak the language, but I do know that there are some people on here who can. I've seen some of their posts, so I know somebody will help you!
If you wish to learn English or Spanish, I can be of some use! lol...XD

You know, a great way to learn a language is by watching TV that you like. That's how I learned English.

Jia = family depends on sound.

jia1 (to add) = 加 , jia1 (family) = 家

it means differently if you were to say it in a sentence, ppl will understand. but both these sounds (tones) are the same.

yes.. i'm quite aware of that...
but much like sarcasm...
pinyin doesn't work so well on the internet >.>

although i find it awful peculiar that you aren't familiar w/ jia you
but know house >.>'''

and i suppose, for teh record, jia you has two meanings, both written w/ the same characters

literally it means to add gas.
but when used in a more... celebratory context... it's more along the lines of ganbatte >.>'''

Learning chinese ain't easy! It's a tone language and I would advice you to attempt a language course with a teacher who speaks your mother tounge otherwise it's going to be too hard, unfortunately. But I whish you good luck with it, chinese is going to give you good chances in your job cause China will play a leading role in economy in future. :vsign:
