Children's Day!

Today April 30th is Children's day. I know that in Mexico it is celebrated.
Here in the U.S. I'm not quite sure, but I celebrate it. I wanted to know does Japan and/or any other countries celebrate today?

Happy Children's Day!

I believe we do but not today :vsign:

Slykaz1 04-30-2008 05:46 PM

Do you know when?

Crani 04-30-2008 05:58 PM

Here in Portugal we celebrate it, but it's only on July 1st. In japan, Kodomo no hi (Children's day) is celebrated on July 5th.
Besides, I'm to old for that so I don't celebrate it.

huh?

Is there such thing as a Children's Day? o.Ò And why have I not been informed?!

Anyway, thanks mommy!! ^___^U

Slykaz we don't have it in the U.S or they would have it on a calender or something like the others.

That's not true, it's usually in June, nobody ever knows when though. Last year it was on June 3rd.

Slykaz1 04-30-2008 06:08 PM

Huh...I thought we did....Cuz here in Arizona they do fairs and stuff for kids on this day. I wasn't sure about the rest of the U.S.

Sutiiven 04-30-2008 06:12 PM

Are you sure or it would be a national holiday and be on the calender?

NeoVisualizm 04-30-2008 06:13 PM

I think, it is just a celebration (Like in portugal) it isn't a Holiday, as for the calender nobody ever knows when it is going to be, so they don't put it on a calendar.

Sutiiven 04-30-2008 06:16 PM

oh alright i understand now :vsign:

Slykaz1 04-30-2008 06:46 PM

In Mexico they have it on their calendars. April 30th never changes like mom's day that one is always May 10.

NeoVisualizm 04-30-2008 06:58 PM

i dont have it on my calendar! 0_0
