Organizers of the Beijing Olympics unveiled the costumes for medal ceremony hostesses on Thursday. A total of five series of costumes will be worn by hostesses at the 302 medal ceremonies of the Aug. 8-24 Games, with each series being designed for certain sports events. Each series of the costumes feature three styles of suits - each for tray holders, medal presenter escorts and athlete escorts. The designs were picked from 305 entries submitted by local designers, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympics (BOCOG) said.
