I was simply useing the US experiance as a model, since it was the most straight foward. Though I suppose you could look at the British Civil War as well, and the situation that ended up with Cromwell takeing over the country for 3 years.

Some people forget that China is still a "developing" country, as fast as it may grow.

They still blantantly handle things in an illegal manner without a care of how the rest of the World would perceive them.

Also, being in the top 3 of the most corrupted countries probably wouldn't help.
