I've seen it work on the most immature trolling childish forums.

Thats if there are enough moderators to moderate to begin with? Which was my point.

I don't really go on forums much asides from this one so I dunno how they do things around the internetz.

Well it's like Tyrien wrote.
On the forum we came from where he was admin.
He had a serious topic section with it's own mod.
Kinda like the music section is here.

And people just learned that you don't fuck around in there.
For those who wanted to fuck around he had a whole section of the forum dedicated to trolling and spamming.

It balanced the forum out by alot and taught people not to fuck around and be assholes outside of " The Forest' ( Spamming/trolling section )

Not really about being heavily moderated.
Because << those kinda forums usually get annoying.

But more people like Kanji who jump on for a little bit and do some fixing up.

Well IF the section was implimented it's nuder the assumption that there's an admin on to do it, therefore appoint moderators.

Kinda simple though. Create such a section, and if a person spams or trolls in it they get a temp ban for 2 months. If afterwards it happens again they get a perm ban. I think that will keep most people in line.
