The Vampire Book Thread

I made a thread about what you think of vampires and it looks like a lot of people like vampires so i have read all of these books and i don't know witch one will be the best and i want to hear your opinion on them and after the book Breaking Down comes out i will know witch book is my favorite out of them all so tell me what you like from the books.
I say my favorite part is Edward,Bella, and Jacob in the tent from Eclipse.>^_^<

Estelle019230 06-27-2008 12:39 AM

Sadly, I never finished reading Eclipse... T_T I had to return it to my school's library before I was able to finish it. I wrote down the page I left off on, though, so I'll know where to start reading if I ever buy it, lol. Anyway, I'd have to say my favorite book in the series I've read so far is New Moon. Jacob was awesome in that one! x3

MegumiDeshita 06-27-2008 05:34 AM

They're okay. They didn't change my life or anything, but they aren't bad.

Diryavi 06-27-2008 08:31 AM

How about some classics

Read Bram Stokers Dracula novel he's the one who started the whole craze about vampires stalking beautiful victims. Also read The Lost boys it was a book before it was a Movie, And last but not least Read Anne Rice's Novels Interview with a vampire series and then watch the movie, Oh I almost forgot Salem's Lot by Steven King then also You can watch the movie, same with the Bram Stokers Book. Oh IF your a Manga fan Vampire Hunter D and then watch the movie but not Bloodlust but the one before it the 80's one it's a classic in my mind. All of those movies I listed are rated R so if your underage wait until your 17 and up before watching don't want you to get in trouble with your family.... And I will be the one to Blame. :ywave: :vsign:

Salvanas 12-01-2008 12:31 AM

We really didn't need another thread for this. You could have talked about these on the other book threads (Fair enough, it's suicide if you do, but anyways), or use the other vampire threads.

xYinniex 12-01-2008 12:35 AM

FACEPALM

Salvanas 12-01-2008 12:53 AM

Here's a book I think you people need to read.

Aniki 12-01-2008 01:07 AM

This outrageous! Some vapid Twilight book has been added, but Bram Stoker's Dracula isn't even mentioned.

I noticed that, but decided not to comment on it, because I would have gone into a huge rant.

Why are you being self-conscience? I'll rant regardless of other's opinions. I like the marked series by c.c. cast, the vampire kisses series by ellen schriber, and the twilight series by stephanie myers. I love anything with vampires. I even read the first VK graphic novel. VAMPIRES ROCK! was that a rant, Salvanas? :)

oh please, don't encourage him.

Keaton421 12-01-2008 01:26 AM

NONE of the things you've listed are vampire books. They are cheapened, watered down "vampire" bullsh*t marketed toward idiotic teenage girls.

If you're going to talk about vampire novels, include Bram Stoker's Dracula or don't post at all. Christ...

If you had any respect for vampire mythology, you wouldn't be putting money into the pockets of the charlatans who write this new-age "vampire" crap. It's just romance novels with fangs to make the horny fangirls happy.

I guess people will always water down cool things because there's someone dumb enough to buy it. Then they can say "I love vampires!" while everyone else hangs their heads in shame

Not a vampire ^

No! You hang your head in shame while everyone else praises the work of future writers of vampire mythology. They're giving it their own twist instead of writing the old run-of-the-mill crap. You should be happy rather than being a critic. Wouldn't you give vampire mythology a twist if you were a writer?

lizzey 12-01-2008 01:43 AM

Is a vampire thread so is okay to talk anything including Twilight although there is a thread.

Vampire Knight is awesome! Every vampire book or manga changes vampire from the orginal mythology. Oh well they try to add their own spin makes things interesting than reading the same thing over about vampires.

Sure, but I wouldn't give it a stupid twist and cheapen the concept in the process.

And this is why it's a waste of time to argue with someone named Yukisuke, who knows one word of Japanese and isn't afraid to use it! :D Have fun "admiring Japan" and reading fake vampire novels
