I have to agree. Sometime Kanto-ben doesn't sound...honest? I know that's just my personal hang-up, but it feels easier to express yourself in Kansai-ben.

yeah i know what you're getting at, it does sound a little "fake" to some extent... I wish I knew more kansai ben :D

For me it might be because I have watched more Kanto-ben on tv and movies than have actually spent time there. It just seems like when Takuya Kimura says "いいじゃん" it just doesn't doesn't seem authentic.
