50 pounds? What are you talking about, I went to London 3 years ago and paid 35€ (~25 British pounds) for the airline ticket.

Has it ever occurred to any of you two, that there are more than one airport in Europe and that it might slightly influence the cost? It would cost ~$200 for me (even with ryanair), unless i hit a special deal or something.

I live close to the city centre, the flat is located in Fulham, with district line it would take roughly 20 mins to go central. 5 minute walk from underground station, near a busy street, has famous clubs and what not.

Note: Date and place will be decided ofcourse, london and summer is not the set place and time. Just using as an example.

Sounds great.....

Gotta pay bills.

and besides shouldn't the ever first meet up be in Japan?

Eiri 10-20-2008 07:24 PM

too expensive, I say we should try to have a meet up like every two or whatever years or something like that......both for the U.S. and Europe

Its much easier for people to meet in London than it is to meet in Japan.

As much as I would love another trip to the UK for any reason, I just priced my ticket to Gatwick for a conference in Edinburgh this January. The cheapest (with taxes & fees) is $1000 USD. And that's only the plane fare. Last I checked, hotels in central London are not exactly inexpensive either. For another $200, I could find a flight to Tokyo.
