Slayer's raining blood is a good song. The new amon amarth cd rocks as well :vsign:

Firstly, I'm music retarded.
So when I hear music, I instantly forget bands and titles..
haha.

I usually turn to the death metal station on the tv whenever
I'm going to bed... (it puts me to sleep somehow haha)

I'm really open-minded to music, but I'm horrible at figuring out
what genre my favorite music fits into.

I like alot of older stuff from the 80s and 90s.
The newer stuff to me isn't that good, but if anyone
knows of any good new stuff, that's good too.

Sutiiven 12-15-2008 11:10 PM

@Carley well thats not good.80's so that is like Def Leppard, Journey, Boston. Tears for fear and the Scorpions? Music Retarded never heard that one before

That must be one hell of a lullaby :D but what ever works is best i suppose.
is the way to go.

@Crimson you find a banner yet ? i still need someone who can make sig for the metal club in the sig.Plus more people .

Well my friends made that name up for me,
because I could never name of a song or figure
out which band was playing. I'm trying to fix
it a little more now by exposing myself to more.

Haha, I know.
I wouldn't be able to fall asleep to music I didn't like.
So really, it's what's works. :D

Crani 12-15-2008 11:21 PM

What are you talking about? The 80's belong to Slayer, Mettallica, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Manowar and all of does awesome metal bands, I'm not saying that does you sayed aren't good, but they're definatelly not very heavy.

Carley, death metal? Now that is totally metal!
xD

Haha, definitely.
Most people wouldn't expect that, I guess.

Not sure what that fits into... like I said, I can't figure out genres. Ha.
But it's my favorite Avenged Sevenfold song
( from their album - Waking the Fallen)

Sutiiven 12-15-2008 11:41 PM

Haha, I used to kind of like a little rap, but lately it bugs me.
My taste in music changes rapidly though.
I go through phases haha.

I download my music off GoMusic.Ru
It costs about 17 cents per song, but it's worth it.
I'm scared to see how much I've spent. 0___0

Well before that, we just used iTunes.
Then iTunes screwed us over and we threw into the delete.
: D

Seeing as my sister had nearly 6000 songs on her iPod at
one point, you could imagine that's not all from Gomusic.ru
hahaha.

We all ditched our iPods, but yes we keep them backed up on our computer in multiple files.
I have a Zune now. In my opinion, it's so much better. No more hours slaving over iTunes
trying to recover all my deleted music ^___^

Ha, well thank you.
You is rockin as well. :D

Sutiiven 12-16-2008 07:20 AM

Has not! If you mean quality has dropped, yeah. Nobody can match the good old timers, Sex Pistols, Ramones, or The Clash. But that's because they invented the music genre, nobody can beat the inventors.

Also, I think metal's quality was a lot better before. For the same reason.

Crani 12-16-2008 08:42 PM

But Punk is already burried, Punk bands are almost inexistent and almost every Punk band out there is old, its rare to find a new punk band and does you can are usually s..., now Metal, metal is still alive and kickin' ass, of course quality as dropped a bit, but there are still some good bands out there, and everyday there are more and more Metal bands.

From my point of view, metal has historically been better than punk... and even if the quality of music (only new bands... the old ones still kick ass) drops down it will still be ahead of punk. Punk bands nowadays have changed the style compared to the predecessors, idk why, it's more like pop-punk, but they're still called punk xP.

Alternative still pwns IMHO.

Preposterous. It seems you've never heard of DragonForce.

"Don't close your eyes tonight, For the lights beyond still shine towards a brighter da~~~~y!"

You should take that to heart, a good life lesson.

The Punk philosophy is really dead, but there is still a few excellent Punk Rock bands out there, like The Offspring,Anti-Flag and Bad Religion.

IPhantom:I don't think the quality of metal had dropped. It is actually the only musical genre that is always developing,at least on my opinion.

The band you mentioned are old ones, you see nobody can find good new ones :mtongue: .

Oh and about metal, it's my opinion as well, I prefer the old stuff.

Ah yes that is true.Probably because everyone wants to play Emo now.U_U.

MissMisa 12-17-2008 02:51 PM

Hmmm... I'm a fan of some new bands and some old bands. I do think what's classed as 'rock' has gone majorly downhill, and anyone who classes Fall Out Boy, Paramore and Panic! At the Disco as rock [or anything other than sh**] needs to be KICKED IN THE FACE.

Erm, apart from that I like a bands that nobody has really heard of. I've been to a lot of small-time gigs where I discover bands I like. I no longer buy Kerrang! magazine because it's now poo, anyone living in the UK buying this will know what I mean. Oh and some punk stuff is okay, I like Horrorpops. I usually like bands with female singers and punk isn't so good for that [and I HATE Distillers].

The only way I can say this is: They're a bit too RAWWWWWWWRREATALIVECHICKENRRRRRRRRARRRRRRRRRRRR for me :p

Lyrics are important to me so I need to be able to hear them properly for me to really like a band/song.

Sutiiven 12-17-2008 07:28 PM

Oh ok i can respect that .But Metal and is my favs black,Death,Liquid is alright.Melodic Black Metal.

But on my thoughts i do not like christian rock, that is all i could listen to when i lived with my aunt . The whole area there is not for me
Which to me is like torture or a way to make me slowly go crazy :vsign:

Crani 12-17-2008 07:46 PM

I never understood Christian rock, wasn't rock evil, anyway? Is this a futile attempt to get kids to turn to Christianity? I imagine a dialogue between a Christian rock star and a fan:
"Dude you rock!"- Fan
"I do, but you know who rocks harder? Jesus, my friend."
xD
