So when I hear music, I instantly forget bands and titles.. haha. I usually turn to the death metal station on the tv whenever I'm going to bed... (it puts me to sleep somehow haha) I'm really open-minded to music, but I'm horrible at figuring out what genre my favorite music fits into. I like alot of older stuff from the 80s and 90s. The newer stuff to me isn't that good, but if anyone knows of any good new stuff, that's good too. |
@Carley well thats not good.80's so that is like Def Leppard, Journey, Boston. Tears for fear and the Scorpions? Music Retarded never heard that one before
That must be one hell of a lullaby :D but what ever works is best i suppose. is the way to go. @Crimson you find a banner yet ? i still need someone who can make sig for the metal club in the sig.Plus more people . |

because I could never name of a song or figure out which band was playing. I'm trying to fix it a little more now by exposing myself to more. Haha, I know. I wouldn't be able to fall asleep to music I didn't like. So really, it's what's works. :D |
What are you talking about? The 80's belong to Slayer, Mettallica, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Manowar and all of does awesome metal bands, I'm not saying that does you sayed aren't good, but they're definatelly not very heavy.
Carley, death metal? Now that is totally metal! xD |
Quote:
Most people wouldn't expect that, I guess. Not sure what that fits into... like I said, I can't figure out genres. Ha. But it's my favorite Avenged Sevenfold song ( from their album - Waking the Fallen) |

Also, I think metal's quality was a lot better before. For the same reason. |
But Punk is already burried, Punk bands are almost inexistent and almost every Punk band out there is old, its rare to find a new punk band and does you can are usually s..., now Metal, metal is still alive and kickin' ass, of course quality as dropped a bit, but there are still some good bands out there, and everyday there are more and more Metal bands.

"Don't close your eyes tonight, For the lights beyond still shine towards a brighter da~~~~y!" You should take that to heart, a good life lesson. |

IPhantom:I don't think the quality of metal had dropped. It is actually the only musical genre that is always developing,at least on my opinion. |
Quote:
Oh and about metal, it's my opinion as well, I prefer the old stuff. |

Hmmm... I'm a fan of some new bands and some old bands. I do think what's classed as 'rock' has gone majorly downhill, and anyone who classes Fall Out Boy, Paramore and Panic! At the Disco as rock [or anything other than sh**] needs to be KICKED IN THE FACE.
Erm, apart from that I like a bands that nobody has really heard of. I've been to a lot of small-time gigs where I discover bands I like. I no longer buy Kerrang! magazine because it's now poo, anyone living in the UK buying this will know what I mean. Oh and some punk stuff is okay, I like Horrorpops. I usually like bands with female singers and punk isn't so good for that [and I HATE Distillers]. |

And yes dig up the underground, there is always better things there. PS: I hate The Distillers too.^^. |

But I could never figure out exactly if they were punk,or metal maybe. |
I say Bullet for my Valentine is an amazing metal band.
|
Quote:
Oh, you're serious? Dude, Bullet for my Valentine are just some Kreator wannabe for children and dumb teens, they are far from being amazing or average, they are horrible, boring has hell! |
Quote:
|
I don't think so.
|
Punk rock no thanks. But pop rock bites arse as well .disgrace to (rock).
Any of you check out the bands i posted? Viking Power Metal rules :vsign: @MissMisa funny but i truly understand you :D Have not tried Pagan/Black Metal are they any good ? |

Lyrics are important to me so I need to be able to hear them properly for me to really like a band/song. |
Oh ok i can respect that .But Metal and is my favs black,Death,Liquid is alright.Melodic Black Metal.
But on my thoughts i do not like christian rock, that is all i could listen to when i lived with my aunt . The whole area there is not for me Which to me is like torture or a way to make me slowly go crazy :vsign: |
I never understood Christian rock, wasn't rock evil, anyway? Is this a futile attempt to get kids to turn to Christianity? I imagine a dialogue between a Christian rock star and a fan:
"Dude you rock!"- Fan "I do, but you know who rocks harder? Jesus, my friend." xD |
