Fear Factory. Obsolete. Favorite Album (yes even with crazy ass Dino...if y'all don't know the story on this guy look it up...good musician but...yea.... Shock. Descent. Cars (one of the few remakes that I allow myslef to like). Ray the drummer is a sweetheart. Took me & my friend out to dinner couple a years ago in SoCal...got to play on his drums too...bloody awesome...
singing this thru crowded ass HollyWeird was good enough for me: "I have become a direct I have become a current I have become a direct I have become insurgent I will be the power surge Shock to the system Electrified, amplified Shock to the system" extremely loud mind you...(yea i dont care lolz) |
What about Grind/Hard Core? Does it go into the metal section? Its friggin great, thats all that mathers ; )
Great acts like: Nasum Refused Skitsystem - (alot of songs in swedish tho) Yum yum ; ) I also like alot of the Gothenburg trash like At the Gates and The Haunted. Also, a great band that rehearsal in the house I arrange gigs at, Arch Enemy. If anyone is intressted in Demo bands I got a BUNCH of great ones. By Night, Trendkill, Merissa Burns Trey, Art Like Destruction and Malum. So much great metal and so little time! |
Rotting Christ

considered "hardcore". I hate, no scratch that, STRONGLY DISLIKE what is classified as Hardcore music, but I have a strange magnetic pull towards Metalcore. Why is that? =D A friend of mine posted this in a myspace bulletin. |
Although I don't like that version of the song, I would pick the Billy Idol version over that one, I find the video hilarious.

Billy Idol = SMEXY. Another bulletin posted by my friend::: Norwegian Black Metal Heavy Metal Grindcore Death Metal |
Here is a really great Deathcore band called Art Like Destruction, try them out! Good friends of mine. I'm trying them out with gigs and stuff.
Art Like Destruction *Writing* on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads And a really sweet Hard Core/Metal band called Malum! One of the best live acts I ever seen (and I have seen like 200 band I think!) MALUM (PRELISTEN NOW) on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads About your post CarleyGee: First band is allright but if you want one of the pioneers to Norwegian Black Metal you should listen to the early works of Mayhem or Darkthrone. Burzum is also one of the first Black Metal acts but then he killed the singer of Mayhem och became a Nazi in prison so...Kinda wack! Second band is Slipknot, right? Wouldent count them as Heavy Metal (Heavy Metal is more like Iron Maiden and stuff like that) I would say Slipknot is more Neo-Metal but they call themself Death Metal. Kinda funny since it dosent sound anything like classic Death Metal to me.... Third band...Never hear it before but it sounds like Grind/Hard core kinda...Another pioneer in the Grind sceen was Nasum (Nasum on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads) Use to be one of my favorite Grind bands but the singer died in the Tsunami in Thailand 2004. Forth band is another one I havent heard but they sound cool even tho I didnt like the video. Another really extreme and awsome Death Metal act is Vile Scar (http://www.myspace.com/vilescar). Another great band for you guys to check out! |

So far, I'm liking them >=] I see an addiction coming up. |
Hehe, ofcourse!
They record EVERYTING themselfs. Right now they writing their first full album and they will realese all the songs on Myspace. CDs cant be sold here anymore :p So we figured we should start up our own record label and just putting all the songs out for free. |
Quote:
Their songs are very well made and not repetitive, which is how I decide on a good song. They are also very catchy, (in a death metal kind of way). |

They got all excited when I told them about you. "Oooh, our first American fan!" :pandahurray: Anyways, a question for everyone in this thread! Is there any good Metal Clubs or Rock Bars in Tokyo? Mabye some J-Rock or whuuutever. Don't really care what it is but just not "dum dum dum Techno" places. The Mrs and I will be going to Tokyo in April so I'm doing some research on sweet places. Thanks! |

Does Anyone Like Cathedral? I just started listening to there music.
|
This video makes me want to dance and do stupid things X]
In a good way... In Flames - Cloud Connected And This song is just so flipping awesome. I just realized I don't like the new NO cussing rule. Lamb of God - Terror and Hubris in the House of Frank Pollard and probably one of their most well known songs (in my own opinion) Black Label This song is probably even more well known for the lyrics being unintelligible and pretty much made up on the spot by Randy. Often described as "pig squeals" : D |
|
In Flames - Alias
I love their songs, with the weird almost-techno/video-game like music. |
Heard about this a couple of days ago. Remember this band that I mentioned on the 2nd page...
