Korean movies
There's a bunch of threads for Japanese movies, so I figured I'd make one for Korean movies. I'm a big fan of Korean movies and I want to know who else likes them. I still have a lot to see, but here is a list of the ones I've seen. I want to know other people's opinions on these movies. Most of them are horror but some of them aren't. Opinions! These are the ones I've seen:
100 Days With Mr. Arrogant (Drama) 200 Pounds Beauty (Drama) 2009: Lost Memories (Drama) 3-Iron (Drama) A Millionaire's First Love (Drama) APT (Horror) Arang (Horror) A Tale of Two Sisters (Horror) Bunshinsaba (Horror) Cello (Horror) Cinderella (Horror) Dead Friend a.k.a The Ghost (Horror) Doll Master (Horror) Lady Vengeance (Horror) Phone (Horror) The Wig (Horror) Whispering Corridors 2: Memento Mori (Horror) Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs (Horror) Whispering Corridors 4: Voice (Horror) |
How could I have forgotten about 3 Iron?
It's a great movie.... (I had to get it into a videotape) (I like the actor who plays the lead male character) |
the only Korean movie i watched is Le Grand chef. And it's a really nice movie.
|
I finally watched The King & The Clown, with Junki<3 & it was...sad. of course. it seems like all Korean movies end up with someone dying. But also funny. Junki makes the most gorgeous girl...I love him~ he's a great actor!^^ |
Some of my favorites are Shiri (awesome!), Volcano High (kendo girl :rheart:), and Nowhere to Hide (rather weird, but cool). Really want to see 2009: Lost Memories, The Host, and 3-Iron.

OLD BOY PEOPLE. OLD BOY.
How could you forget! Lady Vengeance O.O 200 POUNDS OF BEAUTY? oh man, I tried to get through that, I just couldn't do it, too predictable and i just had to skip most of it. >.> I LOVED seducing mr perfect. Uhm Jung Hwa is funnyy Daniel Henney:rheart: |
I've heard a lot about Old Boy, but I haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.
2009: Lost Memories was an amazing movie! It was sad, but still really, really good. I recommend it. |
I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay is a Korean movie, right? With Rain?
The Red Shoe, I'm sure was a Korean horror. But I could've sworn! that Volcano High was Japanese, not Korean. |
The Red Shoes was a Korean horror film, but I didn't like it at all (that's why I didn't mention it). I thought it was completely ridiculous, but that's only my personal opinion.
And Volcano High was Korean but it was a lot like the Japanese Tenjo Tenge (or so says Wikipedia) so that might be what you're thinking about. |
Haha. Red Shoe was funny, personally. Especially when the mother beat up the daughter for the shoes. >.>
Maybe... But I thought that the actors and actresses were Japanese. I never really got a good look at them; too busy laughing my ass off at the English dub cast. It was played on America's MTV movie night, and Lil Jon, and a bunch of other rappers were the voices. xD |
