sort not feelings

Sinestra not to pick a bone with your post but on the 20th Jan the Dow Jones Industrial dropped 332 pts with the major indexs down roughly 4 % according to the Assoc. Press Jan 21-09' On top of that US Bureau of Labor for unemployment figures for just the months of Oct.08' and Dec.08' were roughly 1.5 million US workers who had lost their jobs. A look at Dec.08 Broadcast of CSPAN with Dept. of Labor officials show that the current employment picture for the US economy outlook into 2012 is a 50/50 chance of either going positive or negitive with or without the 'TARP'. Translation the number of people present at the Obama InAug on Jan. 20 are significant but just as true the number of people when adjusted for 20 plus days of Jan. mean more US citizens lost their jobs than your numbers present at the Wash. mall -Btwn the months of Oct.08' Jan16-09'. By the time you read this post according to the US Dept of Labor Website the- insured unemployment claims for week ending Jan 16 will have increased from the previous week by 62,000 claims. This figure does not deal with people without unemployment insurance or those whose unemployment insurance has expired. Above fig. supplied US Dept. Labor Website on Labor Statistics posted Jan22-09'.

MMM did you see Fidel Castro comments to Obama?

I did. I thought Castro might be dead.

I am trying to figure out what your point is, Fluffy. Are you saying people shouldn't have hope?

Maybe he's saying people shouldn't be unrealistic! This is just what I've noticed myself, but it seems Obama supporters think Obama is some sort of Messiah that will perform miracles! Hope is good, but it kinda has to be S.M.A.R.T

Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Time Constraint

I think people hope for too much and believe that Obama will resolve every issue there is. Let us not forget he is only human and it's impossible to please everyone!

sorta what

My post contains original sources MMM. You've confused the message with the messenger. I do'nt think the Dept. of Labor Statistics thinks when it posts unemployment insurance claims it just processes the numbers. Have you visited the unemployment office lately?

This is what all the parade pissers keep saying. Not once have I, Sinestra, or any of the other Obama supporters spouted anything like what you are saying.
I am old enough to have seen many men come and go and understand what one man can achieve. Yes, Obama is a man, not a god. Please stop acting like we are children who can't see beyond the tips of our fingers.

The question was 'what is your point'?

You should stop taking things so personally! Wow, I've never seen you so sensitive. You really ought to prepare yourself for a lot of criticism about Obama, which unfortunately, and this comment is directed at you unlike my previous, Obama WILL screw up on certain things like everyone else, and if you're as sensitive as you've shown yourself to be, then you're gonna have a hard time dealing with things.

To have hope is a valid thing, now the word I think everyone else might be saying is Idealistic, I have no Idealistic views about Obama, I just hope he can change things for the better and pick U.S.A. back up. He actually does have plans I watch the news everyday and Im excited that he's working immediately trying to fix the mess the previous president got us into, now it won't be easy, but I think he's capable. and I havnt seen anyone call him "Messiah" thats a ridiculous word to call him or even imagine him. I don't get why everyone puts him down before he's even started??? that's what I wanna know.

I appreciate your concern for my mental health. I am sure I will be as critical of Obama as anyone else when mistakes are made.

Gee, why would I think any of these comments are directed at me personally?
I realize you didn't say that Noodle, but my point is the image of hopeful president supporter = naive is played out and simply wrong.

sort of not about points

This is a forum MMM not a sport with a scoreboard. The friendly exchange of ideas and observations with no score or points. If you prefer scores or points you might want to include ESPN sports package with your cable TV provider.
