I just came from seeing the movie. It was great!! They let Dr. Manhattan hang out if you know what i mean. Of course I wasn't objecting. :p

MMM how do you feel about they portrayed Dr Manhattan? I thought they got his character dead on they superbly showed him leaving him humanity behind in the most subtle be effective of ways. There have been debates over weather Dr Manhattan lost his humanity or transcended it. I actually thought it was fusion of the two and he actually realized what humanity was in the truer since of the word therefore he actually transcended it.

Again, I think you nailed it. Although Dr. Manhattan transcended humanity, he was still a human, and was not omnipotent. He could see HIS past, present and future, but not that of all mankind. Dr. Manhattan had flaws, just as all the other Watchmen did. I don't think he lost his humanity as much as HE thought he lost his humanity. We find out that isn't entirely true.

Here's a funny (but hope that WB exec. don't get any ideas from) news article about a sequel or prequel to the "Watchmen" film. Seriously agree with what Zack Snyder and Jeffrey Dean Morgan said about it. :D
