guys ,never buy diamonds for your beloved

diamonds are girls' best friend but guys biggest enemy because they are so costly!!
diamonds last longer than time so dont buy it for girls .. cuz no guy want his Gf to last for long.
diamonds make girls feel like princess and makes guys feel like beggars.
so guys
never buy diamonds for your beloved
even though they would cost you nothing

but when girls see these items
what would happen?

nobora 04-29-2009 01:47 AM

The first ones pretty but i'd like simpler things ^_^ not all girls are like that

darksyndrem 04-29-2009 01:48 AM

Wow way to make it sound like all guys are jerks, however I wouldn't buy anyone a daimond myself...unless it was a wedding band of course, but that's another story. Anyways "diamonds last longer than time so dont buy it for girls .. cuz no guy want his Gf to last for long." like...excuse my french but that just makes us all look like ass holes

Undertherose25 04-29-2009 01:55 AM

I dislike jewlery outside of my earrings and my once-upon-a-time lip ring.

My ex bought me a ring, a white gold band with a oval garnet stone and two tiny diamonds.

But he came across some cash from his grandfather and that was the first thing he bought for me.

I didn't ask for it.
I didn't want anything like that.
I was content with the ring he got me from a gumball machine.

He said he loved me and he was happy to buy it, when we decided to call it off and become friends I tried to give it back so he could pawn it and get some of his money back but he said he bought to remind me of happier times.

Not everyone is as shallow as you make them seem.

Aww how sweet of that guy>.<

I don't have to have a diamond to make me happy. Anything that shows kindness and that I am cared about satisfies me, even if it is simple or homemade. Money and expensive jewelry can't buy a relationship, though it /can/ help.

reihiino 04-29-2009 03:12 AM

Diamonds suck anyway...you can always get 'em a cubic zirconia }=D
mwahahahahaha!!!!

Ningyou 04-30-2009 12:41 AM

Sexist thread. Pretty funny, really.

Pexster 04-30-2009 12:45 AM

I don't really like Diamonds, they are nice to look at, but not really me.

SaintKat 04-30-2009 01:54 AM

Diamonds are all good OP but I prefer NZ green stone. It's so beautiful and it looks great in jewellery too.
:lovebear:

pumpum 04-30-2009 06:12 AM

technically the diamonds should be for the mistress !! ;) ;)

When I saw the thread I thought, like many here, "Ahhh... a bitter, stupid, jilted, guy venting because someone dumped him and he couldn't buy her off with diamonds."

I was wrong.

Just a guy with extremely pitiful taste in diamonds! NO; don't buy crap like what was posted. If you are going to spend money on diamonds, buy something more tasteful and better quality.

MoshixMoshi 04-30-2009 01:21 PM

Amusing...all of this. heh.

Diamonds aren't all that great. I'd much rather have something of sentimental vale than actual net worth.

You wouldn't have to worry about buying a girl off if you were a better man. Not specifically meant to the poster of this thread but truly...if you guys were truly hitting it off, buying jewelry to satisfy her wouldn't really be of any significance

Debi 05-05-2009 12:09 AM

I still don't get why girls love diamonds and chocolate that much.

Salvanas 05-05-2009 12:22 AM

My girl would have me, why would she want a diamond?!

:P

But on track, diamonds are costly, and are only there to look nice. I have this rule of mine. I don't buy anything, unless it means somethign to her. Be that from a small teddy she once loved, but lost, to flowers.

I don't think "Oh, I'll get my girl this for the hell of it." Everything I buy for my girlfriends mean something, and are more than just a gift. They're a memory in a physical form.

Diamonds are a 'no' for me, but if it was given, then I would have to accept.

Shame to say. lol jk

But it would be rude to turn it away.

Tyrien 05-06-2009 04:52 AM

Diamonds are fine and not even that big of a deal. They look so boring though.

komitsuki 05-06-2009 05:42 AM

Diamonds are overrated. The trend now is having a great time with your lover. Perhaps this is good consequence of the bad global economy.

SaintKat 05-06-2009 06:15 AM

^ Hey well if it is I fully support said trend.
:pompoms:

ozkai 05-06-2009 06:29 AM

Diamonds look beautiful to me.

Expensive, yes.

They mean a lot to a lot of ladies so what's the big deal!

Who's to say what's wrong, right, good or bad!

Some guys like cars, other's dogs, myself, I like women and if the women I like wants that special diamond from me and I have the cash, why not?

**PLEASE LADIES, NO EMAIL'S;)**

thcuteness 05-06-2009 12:38 PM

>.< wow you just made most guys sound like d***'s with that poem, nice going! Not all women are the shallow athough it would be nice to recieve an expensive gift. It makes women feel special. But you just took the joy out of it, nice going!

KitSeraphina 05-06-2009 04:21 PM

Diamonds as well as alot of jewelry is overrated I think. It all looks so dull and..well alike. Id rather have something that was different but that ment something to me and the person who gave it to me. Whether out of love or whatever. But then again I'd rather be the giver ^.^

I like a diamond as one.. I personally don't like them in a ring.

You know.. A "rock" box type of set up.

My son has his beach box with shells and pieces of coral, A rock box could include diamonds..

By the way, have you seen an Opal?

Before:

After:

KitSeraphina 05-07-2009 04:05 PM

Opals are very nice, I especially like the before better though. The more natural appearnce is much more beautiful(Although Im sure costly) Like Quartz crystals.
I have a question though, to the OP.
Is your gf wanting you to buy her one or are you just warning all other bfs? Just curious really. Don't mean to offend.

Nendoroid 05-07-2009 07:56 PM

$2.00 + Pawn shop.

Kekeke <_<;;

Hobby 05-09-2009 08:45 AM

wowww

it's a huge rock:D

ozkai 05-09-2009 12:45 PM

Opals are awesome..

Look at the colours and they can be had for free here.

A pick is all that's needed.

larajolyn 05-09-2009 01:01 PM

i like the first one, but the others seem a bit too much...

NanteNa 05-09-2009 01:08 PM

What the frack?
What's the point of this thread..?

If you read the OP (original post), you will see it is warning a partner not to buy his or her lady diaomonds, but by the same token, what would happen if you did.

So I'm guessing because it's actually targetting men more than women, that it is telling men that it is a waste of money and time.

Although buy the diamond, and your sweetheart will love you forever.

I guess in hinsight that's a load of rubbish and will varie accordingly.

LuckyLuck 05-09-2009 04:04 PM

I don't see the problem with a guy buying a girl nice things like that. It's really sweet especially if it's a strain in his wallet. I mean a guy who is willing to not buy tickets to that big game or purchase that new car just to get me something to wear around my neck, is usually really sweet. I probably wouldn't take something like that on the first date and it defiantly wouldn't win my heart, but if we'd been dating awhile it'd defiantly give him brownie points.

komitsuki 05-09-2009 09:56 PM

To me, a magnificently cut diamond is an artwork, not a nice way to bring relationships closer.

Different thinking, different attitude.
