thinking of making it into a project car....

Ouch.. Yeah, they can seem like a pit sometimes, but It'll be totally worth it once it's done..Just take your time, and try to stretch the project out for a while..Then the price tag isn't quite so bad

What's a reliable and economical small car choice? I haven't needed a car for years (everything within walking distance) but am thinking of getting one anyway.

Recommendations?

The last car I owned was a 2000 BMW 323i Sport Sedan. Man do I miss that car.

Now I drive a bicycle or my feet.

As far as economy goes, Honda's will probably be the best choice..The Civics, and older Integras both get great gas mileage, and there's a wealth of parts available, so repairs are usually less than that of alot of similar cars. For reliability, I would say Honda as well, but it if you are looking for something used, It could really go either way. Be sure to get a mechanic to check the car before you buy

I'm still learning, but hey, I'm driving. I get to drive a lovely silver Toyota Auris 2.0 turbo diesel. :)

My daily ride is a bicycle, though.

if my brother would have seen that typo, wow, i would have gotten a lecture, fersure, lol...but anyway, yes, i have been trying to get my hands on it since it's been up for grabs at a locally-owned place, but there's this older guy who's showing interest, too, and is pretty well-set when it comes to money so, it's pretty much safe to say that it will be snatched from me -.-
