Personally I think it is fine..until car manufacturers can find a way to stop it, I say the consumer should not have to deal with the outrageous prices of cars.

Who here really wants to buy cars for $20,000 a piece?

I reason I choose to steal cars is because sometimes i have to find new ways to hotwire them to make them run. Even if I were to import them my keys wouldn't work.

I really dont think Stealing has to do with the price of cars going on the rise.
Regardless of how many thieves there are, there are always going to be new drivers, parents, and "honest, good-hearted" people to buy the cars off the lots.

Another reason for Stealing? The cars aren't perfect, and sometimes my hotwire doesn't work and the car won't go...how the hell wants to spend $20,000 on a car that they take care of, but is messed up? Not me.

hahaha. that my friends, is why MMM is my now favorite moderator.
if you like a game so much, you should save up and buy it. otherwise it's not worth owning in the first place. spend your time on something else such as school... i thought the OP was trying to turn his life around and excel in his studies, but threads like this make me think otherwise.

I download maybe 5 games a year.

I play SF4 Non-Stop as SF is one of my favorite series, I have a tourney this month and one next month.

I know my games work when I download them because I get them from a reliable source, not some random ass torrent site.

I'm 16, school is out, i'm going back in the fall while taking all AP classes so I can finish on time.

Your making it sound as though I'm an axe murderer.

I am not going to tell you what to do, but don't ever again say that "love and respect" games. You have no respect for the work that goes into entertaining you. It takes hundreds of people thousands of hours to make a game like Street Fighter 4, but if you spend 15 minutes downloading it on the Internet and burning it to a CD it is worth about a much as a gumball in your eyes. Actually pay for a game and you will appreciate what goes into making it.

Like I said on the other thread, you have never made anything, so you don't know what it means to have it stolen from you. When you become a contributing member of society this will make sense to you.

I will say it and I will stand by it MMM.

I love and respect games.

You cannot be one to tell me what I love and respect. That isn't how the world works.

i think he was making a comparison like for example, if you respect your uncle so much, you wouldn't steal from him. something along those lines.

Yeah I just understood that, a little off topic, Jack...it dosen't matter that you watch how the Japanese play SF4 the US will never be on there level haha

I'm understanding that pirating games is wrong, but honestly, I dont really care. I'm not trying to say that it is right because obviously it is illegal.

I have watched a few movies that I downloaded and a couple seasons of TV shows. I have also watched streamed copies of some TV shows. I have also used some downloaded applications in the past. However, I would never pay for pirated copies. That is the ultimate in piracy. Paying someone other than the IP holder for the use of the product is supporting someone making money on a work that isn't theirs.

As far as the price of games and movies, I have only payed full original retal price for a few of them. And I only payed more than $20 for one game FFVII, but even then I convinced my brother to go in half with me so it only cost me $20. I am content to wait for games to come down in price because they ultimately do. It is the same for movies and music. I have a base line of not paying more than $10 for a CD or DVD unless it is something that I know is really good. However, that does not mean I will dowload it so I can watch or listen to it.

I have no qualms with watching copies of network TV programs. This is because it is allready broadcast for free. Maintaining archive copies of downloaded content I don't really agree with because you are partaking in distribution but I won't strongly argue against it.

Tell the people who make those games that you love and respect the games you steal.

Think they'll agree?

i think americans match up pretty well. my brother's friend alex is ranked pretty high in the world. it landed him a job as a game tester, pretty sweet deal i'd say.
