**Sea Sheperd** Who's with them?

Background
Sea Shepherd engages in conventional protests and what it calls direct actions to protect such marine wildlife as seals, dolphins and whales. Direct actions have included scuttling commercial fishing vessels while in harbor, disabling and of vessels in harbor and at sea, boarding of whaling vessels while at sea, and seizure and destruction of drift nets at sea. Sea Shepherd has also conducted an intense media campaign against Japanese whaling and the Canadian sealing industry in particular.

I am, but sometimes they do take things a bit too far in my opinion.

Maybe this would make sense if you...you know.....said something in your thread?

Well, I do think many know what this is about though.
Still, maybe this typical quote would be a helping hand

: STOP WAILING, SEA NO EVIL!

Or....explain it in your first post for people who don't know what this is about....that's what I was getting at

I respect their intent, but I think they take things way too far. Attacking the fishermen isn't the way to do it..They're just trying to make a living for themselves and their families..Blame the corporations, politicians and consumers for promoting whaling. Similar to "Cigarettes kill people, so let's jump this minimum wage worker on the dock at the plant"

Sorry.
I just put in some extra info to explain it a little better.
Hope it's okay like this. ^^

I would really agree with Ataki on this one...as much as you attack the fisherman, they're still being told to fish

I think going after the fishermen doesn't really do anything but frustrate people. I have watched them on Whale Wars and I'm rather impressed at how the Japanese stay relatively reserved...I woulda sunk the Shepard after 10 minutes.

They would be put to better use harraseing Pirates off Somalia.

All Sea Shepherd are, are legal pirates. It's getting to the point where it's becoming a danger to everyone.

Personally, I find it amazing that they're doing it. They're endangering human lives with their actions. I'm still amazed at how they put whales and marine lives, over human lives. A human is much more valuable then a whale.

They don't think of it like that. It is a case of gaining publicity and drawing attention and support to the slaughtering of innocent sea creatures.
