Sake/Beer Breath
So many of us know that when people dribk beer/alcohol their breath stinks!! But what about sake? Is there a smell when people drink sake? |
Good question. Sake is pretty much a wine, so maybe not. I've drank sake before, but no one's ever mentioned my having bad alcohol breath either.
|
I would guess you also get a smelly breath, but not as bad as beer as sake has a freshier taste. But also like SSJup81, I've never asked anyone or had any comment to it, so dont know for sure.
|
I`ve only noticed a smell of, well, alcohol. Not the weird rotten smell from beer. (Sorry those who love beer, the very smell makes me gag.)
Sake does have the tendency to emphasize the scent of whatever was eaten while drinking though. This can be devastating if it was a strong smelling thing to begin with. |
Not sure about the smelll of Sake but I can vouch for the taste after eight hours sleep after drinking heavily on it and it was not good..
As for beer, I'm used to it as my partner loves the stuff in overtime.. The best part is the rape game;) |

I see. I guess no one really has thought of this question huh |
It really depends on how much you drink and how long.
If you drink large amounts of sake then your body starts burning up and you start sweating but you don't get that awful smell like beer. It sorta smells more like nail polish remover or something along those lines. I love Kai rice Vodka, stuff is amazingggg. |

Yup rocket fuel Hahaha! just messin but yeah it has that sharp smell to it but when you drink it you can taste the starch from the rice. It taste way better than wine too, well dessert wine is good but really sugary.

Well drinking is bad but the smell is what draws me to it...at least how you describe it :p |

A glass of wine a day is good (Red wine, although white wine has more of a subtle taste). Beer is bad, calories. Yet one beer a day is an antidepressant, so it will take away stress. |

but what about your liver?? |

Actually, I do notice people's breath when they have been drinking sake and depending on the sake it can be rather unpleasant..... but usually its when the sake aroma in cup is also unappealing to me. And I agree, it amplifies the smell of anything eaten with it, too. |
I'm sorry but I've smelled Sake breathe before. I didn't like it at all. To me it smelled very bad, not as bad as beer breath though. Which Confused me.
I was wondering, you say that beer is a stress reliever and a glass of red wine is good for you but does Sake have any things that are good for you in a small ammount? Just curious. |

Well alcohol in general is a stress reliever =/ its not like they have different classifications, Its the only reason they allow alcohol to be legal when more people die from it, instead of making week legal instead. But other than relieving stress sake has no other purpose. |
Any alcohol in moderation has health benefits. I did a quick search and pulled up a pretty comprehensive article on it: Alcohol And Health
Certain alcohols also have other properties that are beneficial... for example, red wine is good for heart health, and the beer Guinness happens to have a lot of antioxidants. I haven't heard of anything in particular regarding sake, though. |
Sake is rice wine so I can't imagine going too far wrong with it. Red wine is good for the heart but it is also full of congeners, the chemical agents which give you a hangover.
Guinness is pretty heavy on the stomach but has its plusses :) |

I think it smells way better than beer though =/, beer kind of has that rotten smell afterwards when people drink alot of it X_x. |
Distilled grain-based booze is very difficult to leave a noticeable breath.
Quote:
I find it very odd sometimes that distilled grain alcoholic beverage is considered wine in English-speaking countries. Strange, way too strange. Technically there are three alcoholic beverages that can be consider as "wine" by minimal definition: 1. doburoku (Japanese) 2. Makgeolli (Korea) 3. Choujiu (China) |
1 Tequla
2 Tequla 3 Tequla Floor They aint kidding about that either, that stuff ambushes you. I might have spelled it wrong too, wich just futher enhances it's stature as a ambush drink, you never see it comeing. |
