All bands - no, some - yes. Not all composers became legends from that period of time when Mozart and Beethoven were alive, and yet there are many composers who made into history that you may not know. Mozart and Beethoven became legends for their huge contribution in classical music (and I wish to add that their personal life also plays a part in which why they are more known).
Is it really so hard for you to understand that the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan became legends for their contribution in music, not because they where popular in their times?

They wouldn't be popular unless they did those masterpieces. Nowadays to get popular is to win the hearts of 13 year old teenagers by clothes instead of music. Music is irrelevant. These are the music dark ages! I hope something changes in the future.

I haven't actually objected! As long as you don't mention a murderer or anything of the sort, I will not object. Each to their own ;)

Actualy, reading about her, she seems to have a lot of good points. Not a bad idol, Ronin.

Regardless, I wasn't going for that kind of person in this thread. It's supposed to be more about history and people with large impact.

Yeah... she's definately a good ideal for Ronin and you in the sense that she's anti-islam. However, for Ronin, she shouldn't even be a proper idol, because she believes in things like race being biological. Hence her believing in Jew's being a race, which in turn backs up her beliefs of antisemitism being something real, and islamaphobia being non-existant!

It's not that she's anti-islam. It's that she's pro-rationalism/secularism. Muslims just complain she's anti-islam because she aims much of her criticism at the backwards and irrational traditions she experienced while growing up. To be honest if she was a Christian, Jew or Hindu and endured the hardships she did, I'd still admire her.

Also I'd like you to show me to what extent she believes race is biological. I've never heard this opinion of hers.

Furthermore she witnessed anti-semitism in Islamic societies for herself while growing up. I am not aware of the extent to which she believes that islamophobia is existent or not... you'll have to enlighten me on this one too. (i.e. provide a link or a source)
