Prooves my point. The US defends itself from Jihadi nutcase's and we are labeled the terroristic genocidal butcher..go figure.
The US may have it's problems and certainly tends to be hypocritical at times no doubt, but it isn't the great satan either. It's a combination of factors, some of them are political in nature true. However, much of it is simple resentment.
Many countries lack the power to actually do anything on the world stage and yet every time they turn around, it's the US this or the US that. Many of these same nations that despise America are feed by America, it's partly why they despise the US, nothing breeds resentment like dependance. If it was some other nation that was so dominant, they would be the object of everyone's anger instead.
Kinda like how the Yankee's in baseball are hated by everyone except Yankee's fans. Success brings anger, jelousy and resentment from everyone else.
