There is a controversial book I just finished before starting Wild Swans, that I found excellent, though sometimes upsetting.

Disclaimer: This is very anti-right wing and anti-war and anti-John McClain. And anyone seeing the book in your hands with any clue of what the title means is going to react to you - sometimes not favorably.

"Gook" by Irwin A. Tang (from Bonfire Books)

This is an assessment of the damage wrought from the use of racial slurs, specifically focused on those used by westerners for Asians. At least 80% of it is documentation of the actions and statements of John McClain, including his acknowledge habit and preference for the use of the racial slur "Gook".

Even though I completely agreed with Mr. Tang about the premise of the book, my opinon of Senator McClain was not nearly so hostile as it is now. This is an eye-opening book, to say the least.

What do you think of "Paradise Lost" so far? Make sure you read "Paradise Regained" as well.

As for myself, I just read a book about investment banking titled "Monkey Business". Not exactly Milton-level literature, but a little eye-opening nonetheless.

I'm reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley for my senior project. It's a bitch to read, but I like the way the author thought about things for this one.
