You and Rin244 got on the subject of melted candle wax briefly. I prefer to be holding the candle, unless its a paraffin dip - those are nice ont he feet and hands at salons.
But pay close attention to the type of candle. Dripless candles are the majority of cheap tapers and the heat needed for them to drip is too high for this kind of playing. Don't ever use them for anything other than providing light. Someone once provided them for demonstration with me knowing it and my partner ended up with 2nd degree burns. The softer the wax, the less heat needed to melt it and the safer to play with. One other control that is obvious, but some people forget is that the farther the wax drips, the less heat it will have on impact.
Most people I know prefer the chest or back, to the arm. But logistics make the arm the easiest for experimenting.
The next challenge is how to remove it though.... especially if there is hair under the wax.
