I agree its expensive for calling internationally, so use e-mail. But what about friends & family in the same country? Laptop's may have everything on them, but just think, the best smart phones have 75-80% of the same app's & features a laptop has, & you need a bag to carry a laptop, whereas for a phone, all you need is a pocket

- I needed a buss pass anyways, to go to work or visit my friends, but now my phone has that built in.
- I have skype on my phone with unlimited internet, so it's cheaper than international calls, and lighter than a laptop.
- I used to need cash in my pocket and bills in my wallet to buy stuff, but my phone replaces those.
- I don't text, I email or skype, this is Japan, not archaic north america with it's sms junk, full html email with attachments etc
- I used to carry an mp3 player, and a camera, and now I don't have to.

lol your not every smart ur self ha ha because there are hackers who hacks ur e-mail and bank accounts so its not safe to pay bills over the phone or the internet its better to walk right in and pay them and u dont need a bus pass if u got a bike so...

Never heard of BlackBerry? Those are unsafe? Even the USA government is marching to ban them from Asia, because they are too secure and can't record what you are doing on them, including the internet navigation.

how u can track someone where they are with out there permishin and if they are on the net paying bill they can hack ur hit up so yah dont think that ur all because ur not lol
