Fan-fic legality question
 
Hajimemashite!!

I'm making an anime, writing the plot right nao and I have a question.


Would it be OK or leagal to make a fanfic about Sasuke Uchia dying during 9/11?

What I'm trying to figure out is if it's leagel to make a fictional character die from a nonfictional event? I'm not trying to make fun of zose people of course.

Help is greatly appreciated!!

Well...as long as you're not trying to publish said work for money or something, fanfiction writing is okay.

As for "creating" an anime with that stuff, I doubt it on many levels. You'll be making it for profit and also using a copy-written character.

Maybe it was a bad idea to use that example, it doesn't help the title of ze thread was changed . . .What I'm asking is if I could put a character I made up in a nonfictional disaster or tragedy such as 9/11

Trust me, this title is better than your original title.

No one has a copyright on 9/11, so yes, you can put your original character in 9/11.

Welp Thank you for clearing that up, by the title Nyu meant that it seemed like Nyu was asking about fanfiction and not Anime making which made Nyu regret ze example she used.
