Of course it does. ;)

People in Japan don`t count.
I didn`t even answer my own poll because it would skew things. :mtongue:

I didn't vote in the poll for precisely that reason. :P

Depends on the fish. You can eat nothing but fish and you'll be intaking a lot of mercury if it's large predator fish, although it works out since these fish are more expensive. I generally avoid them. But eating smaller fish such as tuna or salmon 2 times a week is recommended by many health advisories.

True, it does depend on the fish, but considering mercury levels have gone down rather than up over the generations, I wonder how real the threats are.

In the US pregnant women are told not to eat sushi, but in Japan pregnant woman traditionally eat sushi.

My real response to the poll was WHICH local grocery? There are 3 almost the same distance from my house and then the Chinese and Korean ones I shop at regulary, so they seem even more local to me than those geographically local.

Except for Walmart, they all sell sushi of one sort or another. HMart even stocks sashimi ready to serve or eat.:)

Raw, but very nasty. The rice tastes like shit, seriously.

Ehh yes.... Basically most every majour super markets round these parts sell "sushi". On one hand it's great that this country has adopted the idea of sushi. On the other... the typical quality of a great majority (basically all that I've tried) is basically pretty piss poor. And... It's regretable that so many people are introduced to sushi through this... which has a tendency to give people a mislead impression >.>'

and... Typing this on an itouch while on vicoden... Really doesn't help my English soo yea... Sorry if I sound like an idiot =.=
