What Do You Admire About Japan

aprt from the Anime cosplay and Manga-- what do you admire or like about the country. Is it the people? The customs/culture?

Is it the Cities, the shrines? the mountains the architecture-- the technology?

WOuld you like to live in Japan.

I know very little about Japan but I’d say I admire its beautiful landscapes and the respectful behaviour of its inhabitants.

Well, I've never met a Japanese but they're supposed to be respectful, don't they?

The artistic nature of the culture and its people. I admire the visual qualities of their work as well as their general mental attitude in terms of respect and honor. Of course, much of this respect and honor is probably obselete, developed into more of a habit than an actual appreciation thereof, but it's there nonetheless.

I'm particularly interested in the history of the struggle during the feudal era. More specifically, the common people's way of life and how they survived; they're fortitude and method of thought. With this, naturally comes an admiration for the culture and most things relating outward from there.

Would I live in Japan? It's a broad question. It all depends.

I admire Japan in a multiple of areas. Being an island nation like the UK, I feel Japan is very different. I admire that normality in Japan is considered 'weird' everywhere else, & admire the fact that Japan has not caved in to western pressure, & kept it's normality's & beliefs. I admire the people, & while I've never met a Japanese person face-to-face, have seen enough through various media's to understand they are a very friendly, polite & helpful people. I love both the busy, brightly lit cities, from main road to back alley. To the countryside, with it's hilly, mountainous terrain & beautiful cherry blossom trees. I admire the way they progress quickly & are a front-runner in technological circles.

As for living in Japan, the answer is of course. That is my dream :)

I admire Japan organizational skills and discipline in everyday life situations. Im also a fan of how homogeneous the Japanese try to be with nature even when building facilities. Many other things as well but thats the gist.

I admire the ladies and the ergonomics, in more of a consumer sense, unless there's another word I should use but can't think of right now.

I admire their perfection. Japanese tend to do everything to the edge (and sometime it's crazy). You can see in Japanese cars, their quality and feature even exceed some German cars. You can see in otakus, when they like something they love it to the end of the world. You can see in ramen, you all know how many hours it take to boil ramen soup, right?

That's why I love Japan.
