DPJ leader elections

Just interested to know people's thoughts about the Democratic Party leadership ballot in which PM Kan was reelected.

Kan seems like a nice guy and a guy who I can agree with.

I heard he is out to change the way things are done in Japanese politics... though I think we heard that before in his predecessor.

Still... there is always hope when a new candidate comes forward and promises such things.

I agree and am glad that Ozawa didn't win because of his involvement in corruption scandals. Also I find him arrogant. He is 68, so I think it is time for him to retire soon. Japan needs a good leader to help the struggling economy. Maybe Kan can do it?
