japanese jigsaw puzzles
Today I bought two japanese jigsaws-- already made up and glued onto a cardboard background.
This was in the local market. One is of a Samurai-- with many small illustrations amongst and around it. Then a lady in a kimono-- also decorated with wonderful japanese scenes. This has caused me to search the Net to see where the original of my two may have come from. I have not found that yet-- but this seems an excellent site for japanese and other jigsaws including ANIME for fans of Anime. Its worth a stroll through the site I think. Neat!. Thanks, dogsbody.
I have one puzzle that is actually blocks rather than jigsaw. The Japanese American Museum in California was selling it. Its actually like childrens's building blocks with the alphabet in hiragna on one side, katana on the other, a picture and word on the 3rd side and the 4th side can be laid out to form a picture of Mt. Fuji. Most of my friends play with the picture puzzle. |
