The smell of america - 11-11-2010, 08:36 AM

Houses encroaching the hillside, they make geometric patterns as they dip in and out of small depressions of land, forming a suburban melting pot, were humans of all colors and creeds eventually fall. Trees imported from various countries line planters on sidewalks and in dividers that separate streets, scenic roots for the 9 to 5 working class citizens and the numerous youths traversing sidewalks with their skateboards and bicycles. The flora that was once here is gone, it has been replaced by Western European grass and East Asian trees, genetically modified by a corporation that controls 98 percent of all marketable plant life in the world. 72 percent of human beings don't know this, as they drive through a wall-mart parking lot, the image of such plant life sitting dormant in their planters, decorations a subconscious registry. Consumers smoke cigarettes outside of coffee shops fashionable and young that line every corner of every shopping mall conveniently placed on the fringes of these calculated suburban cities. They hold part time jobs, and attend community colleges. They have large ambitions, most of which they will never fulfill. I love this place. I'm done, but I felt like trolling for a bit.

Using all of my sick time...

My favorite Country - 11-12-2010, 03:56 PM

Well my favorite Country is Canada (and it’s not just because I was born there). One of the things I like to talk about is Canada’s rock and roll musicians – Guess Who – BTO – Nash the Slash – the Eurhythmics to name a few. Lately I have been playing a song by a Vancouver Island band (KinFo) a lot because it’s about a hound dog that goes to the big fire hydrant in the sky. My old hound dog is almost ready to go so I play the song to help me cope. Here is a link to the song. Cheers!
