Would you fight for Japan?
 

If Japan was ever to get involved in a war. Would you enlist in their army and fight for the nation that gave us anime and manga? I certainly would. Especially if its against hostile China. I've even thought about enlisting in the Japanese army even though I'm Norwegian. But sorrily it's not possible.

No... but then I have never been interested in joining any type of Armed Forces, for any reason.

Going to war to protect Manga and Anime would surely be one of the weakest reasons to join any military force... IMHO

Fight to defend Japan? Sure, given it's for a cause I believe in.
Enlist in their army? No.

... I'm sorry, the fact that you brought up Anime and Manga in a discussion based around fighting in a war, seems pretty ridiculous to me. I feel to a certain extent that you don't know what you're talking about. War isn't a joke. But, for the sake of the discussion... why would you be willing to enlist in Japan's army... especially to fight China?

totally. specially when there aren't bullets enough in the world for all of them.

this topic cracks me up since recently while drinking we had a discussion with friends what would happen if 1.3 billion of Chinese decided to invade my country with population of 2 million. 1:650. 20 magazines of bullets on average - taking you hit all of them - for each person. they could probably invade us with dinner forks :cool:

Because I love Japan and I would defend it to death if I had to. It's a precious culture and nation which deserves to live forever.

But you didn't know? That's what most of China's army is equipped with these days! It's hard to fund all the weapons for such a large country.

I have to agree, why turn a such serious topic into joke by citing such comparatively insignificant cultural icons of Japan? And why, specifically, against China? I have no love-loss for the PRC, but there are far more realistic threats to Japan than Beijing.

I don't see either why and from what would you want to protect Japan. It's almost as if you don't know anything of their culture.
Japan isn't the one needs protection -- they basically have traditions based on fight/war (please correct me if I'm wrong) and more over: to offer something like this seems like kind of offensive, even from an outsider's view.

Have you read any history of the japanese at war? I think you should. It sure would not be over anime and manga
