Japanese Festivals And Traditions - 11-27-2010, 02:33 PM

An interesting question was asked elsewhere about certain traditions or culture.

It would be good to learn more about the festivals and the reasons for them etc.

tanabata and omikuju.

A kind person gave us websites and information about both.

Any ideas about other festivals or traditions such as the doll festival?

Burning Dolls in Ueno Park: Planet Tokyo

I have heard about the burning of dolls in Japan. This is a little about it but I do wonder why or how it started.

Dolls' day

Another interesting site: Girls' Day Dolls
