which stories from the last twelve months?
which stories from the past twelve months have remained in your mind?
The chilean Miners? the BP oil accident?. |
A personal one.
|
maybe I should have put NEWS STORIES LOL.
|
Well I have a personal news story that made the news. Minuscule to most, but had a huge impact in my life. So I guess we can go either way.
|
I never really watch or read the news anymore. It's only through forums like this that I somehow keep up with a little of what's going on in the world! I have definitely found that ignorance is bliss! :p
|
Amen to the above post! Innocence is a bliss^^

I used to be like that GN. Yes its good to be ignorant-- sometimes. |

I guess innocence IS BLISS-- but what about ignorance? what is Innocence? what is Ignorance? Hardly the same.:mtongue: |
I'd have to say BP for sure, what a monumental botch...
|
For me, a few sports stories. The Alonso/Massa/Ferrari scandal at Hockenheim, the F1 season finale (final 3 races). Just breathtaking. & Japan in the World Cup. Round of 16, & sooooo close to the quarter finals, & playing the best football I've seen them play. I guess Germany hammering 4 past a poor England is a highlight for me :mtongue:
|
I guess Spain winning the World Cup, the miners and the BP fiasco, another Japan trip....
On a personal note, my father passing 4 months ago, today being the 2nd anniversary of my brother's passing....those are the bad memories.... |
Anyone still remember the eruptions of the volcano in Iceland? That was pretty huge on the news, at least in Europe. Flights cancelled and all...

Yes indeed. the volcanic ash that halted many aircraft.
|
Wikileaks releases. The ones concerning the Iraq war in particular and the case surrounding Julian Assange.
