i like this check this quoting the 18th century french philosopher Rene' Descartes " With regard to a superior being, i doubted and doubted and doubted until i realized that the only thing i could no longer doubt was that i was doubting. i thence realized that i exist because a superior power exists thus i can not be without"

Hail the Fukushima 50. (or 200)

Gutsy and honorable, for the safety of their families and friends back home. Godspeed, gentlemen.

Not really. It was the most powerful quake in Japan's history but it's epicentre was miles off the coast of Japan. While it was a magnitude 9 quake, the actual force in many centres of Japan were about half that of the quake in Christchurch. (Christchurch was said to be 2.2G's of force while the recorded G's in Tokyo were said to be 0.82 if I remember correctly.)

0.82G's in tokyo which is 9times further from the epicenter of the quake than that of christchurch from it's epicenter....

what are the numbers from Sendai? even then they're 80+mi from the epicenter, whilist christchurch was 25mi.

kinda comparing apples and oranges here.
