President Dmitry Medvedev has declared readiness of Russia to render to Japan the humanitarian help, to accept victims in sanatorium, and also if necessary to consider possibility of employment of Japanese people in Siberia and in the Far East.
The president of Russia Medvedev has told that will help Japanese people, and will invite experts from Japan to us to work. Also the help suffered from radiation will be rendered http://www.lrnews.ru/news/full/26898/ |

These are all noble gestures by political leaders so thanks to Medvedev. However I doubt that many Japanese would follow up on such offers. Unless of course the radiation cannot be helped without Russia's aid. But Im sure Japan is well capable of handling this, though coupled with the support from the world community. I find it amazing how many rescue workers from all over the world came to Japan almost immediately. Im just wondering how much this will be effected by the Libya crisis...looks like Japan is already getting off the radar of some western media in favor of what is happening there. Ugh.
