So, I decided I'd make a video asking if anyone knew where I could buy the first book of Itsudemo umewo. I thought, I'd get help on the question, that in itself is moronic when your dealing with youtube.

I ended up with a person attacking me and calling me a " stupid weaboo" and then went on to say, " Those that want to learn Japanese, or any other language should be shot on sight. Your an american, fuck wanting to live in another country, we are the center of the universe."

In all honesty, I cannot deal with is anymore. I don't see what the big deal with wanting to travel, or live in another country ultimately makes it THE worst sin that has been committed on this earth. Why is it just americans, and a few, not a lot but a few other countries?

Look, I am not a weeaboo. I do not have this limited view on Japan and think that it's all anime and pop culture. That, is pretty much a limited view on Japan.

I very much understand what Japan is, up to a point. I keep up with what is going on in the news, to history, to a lot of other things that have NOTHING to do with pop culture. But does that mean liking Japanese pop culture is bad and makes you a weeaboo?

No, that is a stepping stone to your ultimate goal. Don't make it the only thing you know about the country. Same thing with wanting to live in any other country.


But this goes beyond just wanting to live in Japan, I have seen people be verbally abused, bashed, avoided, etc just for the THOUGHT of not wanting to live in america but live in germany, spain, etc

I have heard the SAME comments that I get and others get for wanting to move. What the hell is their problem, It's not their life, why the fuck do they make it their problem?

Is it because people here have become so comfortable, and the thought of someone doing something that goes against their beliefs makes them have to talk out their ass?

I never got my answer by the way, all I got was some asshole spamming my video with the same comment over and over. He then thought it'd be funny use that middle finger text image over and over too. This has got to stop, just because someone wants to live somewhere else DOES NOT mean they want to be X ethnicity.

Which gets me to the next part of the rant, WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE TO BE X ethnicity if you want to live or travel there? It seems people in this country, have forgotten that people have the freedom to do what the fuck they want to do.

You have no right to determine who can do what or move where. You insulting people only shows how much of a shut-in you really are.


Please, explain why the hell people think it's okay to do such a thing? I am confused....

The best thing you can do is ignore idiots like that, some people just like belittling and insulting others. Apart from showing just insecure they are they should take a good look at themselves in the mirror. However, far more will have some respect for what you do than those who deride you in some way.

You might not interested in this guy's subjects but he does have a video in which people did the same to him, which he had a good laugh at; Laro64 he's on YouTube and is American with some well balanced thoughts. Think he might make you feel better.

Wow. I knew Americans got more annoyed than us about it but I didn't know Americans got that extreme! In Britain we think we can't do anything.

I don't mind it when British people are obsessed with America. They'd get on my nerves if I knew them and they were talking about it ALL THE TIME. I'd like to think I'm not like that about Japan.

Have a look around YouTube at the various comments made in response to videos, both Britons and Americans are equally as guilty.

Just ignore what other people say about you and, treat them as your galvanisers and do even better for your future.

I suppose I don't notice it so much being as nobody really uses the word weaboo here. My old YouTube account was spammed really bad,luckily only on my channel page. I was called a "fucking British hick",I was told "Japan didn't love me",loads of things. When people call me a weaboo I don't really care because I am quite bad. What does annoy me is people acting like it's the worst thing you could be.

If it's your video, can't you just delete their comments?

Unfortunately, you're going to have to build a tougher skin, as people around you will always try to drag you down to make themselves look better.... Ignore them is the best option.
