Intro to Japanese Language for Elementary Students - 04-01-2011, 10:41 PM

Yello! I am going to teach elementary aged students Japanese so I need to figure out what I should teach. I know theres no hope of me teaching them kana but should I atleast show it to them?

I'm thinking of making a list of vocab so they can practice what they learn and putting a hiragana and katakana chart on the back .

As for what to teach the kiddies, Well I have two hours for ten days. Should I stick with です phrases or could I try teaching ます ? I want to each some simple kanji (at most two a day)

Lastly does anyone have any game ideas? I know a couple, I just want to hear your ideas.

ありがとうございます !!

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

Seriously, I'd like a little input or suggestions from fluent speakers or teachers,I want to teach in the most efficent way so these children leave with a good, solid beginer-undersranding so they'll study more later. Any imput is welcome
