It is basically the same Mahayana Buddhism.
It roughly separates into 13 sects.
The difference of the sect is not understood though it belongs to the sect that has inherited it from generation to generation.
Most people do not understand Buddha's teaching.

We have a Kamidana in our house. It's great to see people interested in it, not many American homes have one.
