JapanForum off the air?
 

Was it just me or did JF go off the air for a week?

P.S. I'm glad it wasn't just me and that it was a network/site issue.... Phew!

For a bit there, I thought I may have been banned for a bit, though EVERY computer I tried logged on or not wasn't accepting me....

not just you, I panicked a little actually..
I almost started posting in jref again... thank god this site is back up again!

Does anyone know what happened? Hackers? Or just maintenance?

It seemed to me like the server updated their version of PHP which didn't include Zend, which the site uses.

It's likely to happen every time the server updates their PHP.

This is just my observation, based on the error messages I saw, I honestly have no real information.

I felt the same way, but didn't go as far as posting anywhere. I checked a couple of times a day to no avail until an hour ago when I was pleasantly greeted with the main page!

I missed it too. Have only just been able to get back.

Now you can keep us posted on you trip with pics and comments!

I got one of those Zend error messages originally too. But I wasn't panicked, just angry till Sunday. It started the same day my office updated what internet sites they are blocking and until I tried it from home over the weekend I thought it was their screw up.

It's weird, there was a whole spate of sites down over the last fortnight; JF- surf the channel, and a few small obscure forums too! :/
