Long lost girl friend/ Help wanted. -

In January or February of 1967 [ yes 1967] I met a lovely girl in the port of Nihama. [Please excuse my spelling] I was on a timber ship and just 22. We went to see a movie called " Those magnificent men in their flying machines. " Her name was Sato Setomi, or Seto Satomi. She was just 20. What could have become of her? I have never forgotten her and if anyone can help I'd be grateful.

Haha perhaps it had nothing to do with race and something about the person? The time in his life? Something they shared?
Nah, just boils down to her being Asian. Or perhaps thats how *you* think. |

lol...to ME they are both patronizing. A gentleman posts his first post on Japan forums asking for help on a nagging thought he's had for years. What does he get? Comments on how long ago it was (I'm sure since HE realizes how long ago it was since he said "(Yes, 1967!)") or "advice" on how he shouldn't waste his life. He most likely wanted to connect with her again and see how she was. See how her life ended up. See if they can share that memory together. What does he hear in the end? "Hey dumb ass, it was a long time ago stop living in the past and don't waste your life by not dating anyone." I know you didn't mean it like that most likely but sweet Nyororin is the only one who addressed the man's issue. Can the man get some help!? If not, I'm sure a man in his 60s doesn't want 20 and 30 year olds "advising" him on how to live his life. lol |

Talk about lasting impressions and looking for the proverbial needle...
Can't find her for you - but others could, Localized websites, local newspapers, buy adspace if you have to. Publish your mugshot from that date - tell your tale... If its meant to happen, it will... Nevermind the naysayers, they may be right but unless you try you will keep carrying that 'what if...' with you for another 40 years. Good Luck |
