The Dutch people don't need to be protected because the Dutch goverment isn't looking for a fight. Even if our goverment wants to get involved in a war, we are not allowed to do anything exept for caring for wounded civilians and things like that. The Dutch know how to achieve peace, we are one of the first, if not the first with a real spiritual political group (MenS). The other older political groups in our country are generaly smart enough not to attack anyone, but MenS takes the wisdom much further.
And I already said what I personaly do. I'm trying to help people in other parts of the world. On various ways.

Also Holland is a generous and philanthropic country. But still MenS thinks we are spending too much on military power and too little on humanitarian organisations. And I agree.

Holland was used as a "shortcut" by Germany dureing ww2 cause they were wusses. You can whitewash it all you like, but history is history. War is used because war works, it's the most effective way of getting what your country wants, end of story. That's why everybody powerful uses it.

WW3 will last much longer than three minutes evanny; our anti missle system is very efective. plue we have a kill rate of 1500 to 1...wich will allow us to fight the vast hords of china and still win. Hasn't anyone noticed the weapons we have been building of late are designed to kill lots fast?

we all know what can a single atom bomb do. now, let's take russians for example and their Tsar bomb which had 50 mega tons of TNT yield (they limited it, actually it can go over 100.) nagasiaki experienced something like 20 mt.
those where the 60's. if we could go from flying the first plane to flying a rocket ship to the moon after 60 years, i think we are sure to be able to build a bomb which could go over 1 000 mega tons in present.

but there isn't actual need for it since the nukes we have are enough.
lets say there are 20 000 of them. let's be hopeful and say 10% only hit. 200 nukes that would hit all the major cities where 50% of world's population is. then comes fallout and gets another 20% of people. but wait - there is more. our nuclear reactors. well over 500 of them. thy are bound to be hit or without anyone to oversee them - have a meltdown. we all know what that did. so. 80% dead already, 15% will die from hunger, poisons, riots since no government will be left. rest of the 5% (and that is IF there are still some left) will most likely go mad and kill each other.
also. humans are a creative bunch. lets shield our nukes with poisonous gas, so when they are shot down, the gas will leak out and make everyone bleed from their eyes. so the opposite side thinks twice which would be the better action - suffer a nuke or some awful gas.

let's just say. if you want a war (and actually win, not destroy the world), your only option is to go against 3rd world country (like now) and hope they don't have hidden nukes.

I highly doubt the next world conflict, if there is one, will be nuclear in nature. No one stands to win if it is, so what's the point of it? It will be conventional. Anyone who uses a nuke in a future conflict will not be state-sanctioned....
