i can't think of anything more "empty",yet with the effects of drink and good cheer things happen...i wouldn't put these girls down though,i've known a few working girls as friends and they were/are pretty sweet girls.they just have stupid jobs.

Love hotels are everywhere, even in small towns with no prostitutes. I would venture to say the majority of clients are couples.

couples who just met... There is lots of prostitution in Japan. However, not all the prostitutes are Japanese girls, there are many other cultures such as filipino as well.

In regards to Korea, they have the traditional red light districts with girls in the windows.

Why do you say "couples that just met"? Lots of people have one-night-stands that aren't prostitutes. This is true in Japan as well as all over the world.

I don't know if there is more prostitution in Japan compared with other parts of the world... it is easy to avoid if you want to, that is for sure.

Simply take a walk around Kabkicho in Shinjuku. Stick to the seedy streets with lots of neon signs, eventually you'll be approached by a hustler who will say "you want sex with Japanese girl? blowjob?".

I still don't see a relation between love hotels and prostitution.....

Prostitute meets guy at bar, they "make an arrangement", they go to Hotel. See the relation now?
