Buying sex in Japan
 

So I was reading "Confessions of a Yakuza" (amazing book) and the yakuza boss in the story kept telling about all the different prostitutes he slept with without any sense of shame.

In my country it's a shameful act to buy prostitutes and you really get looked down on for doing it. Is it the same in Japan? Because if everyone is as openminded about it as the yakuza boss, I regret not trying out a prostitute or two in Tokyo....I really love Asian women.

Well this is a bit..offensive, and awkward...but prostitution, last time, I checked, is technically illegal, unless I got my countries and their laws mixed up.

It is illegal, but no one is doing anything about it. Lots of sex to be had in Kabuki-cho. I got a million offers, sometimes from Chinese street hookers pretending to be Japanese.

I believe it's very important to legalize Prostituation around the World. It prevents many violation.

If it is in a so called grey zone, thats fine as well cause the country knows of its importance then.

Still...I think you are better off not having sex with hookers, but hey, thats me.

If you can't get it for free sometimes you have to pay

I guess one's self-respect goes out the window then....
