Dale Carnegie
'How to Stop Worrying and Start Living'
'Public Speaking and Influencing Men In Business'

:)

Dale Carnegie and Tony Buzan are great. Also enjoy reading anything by David Gemmell, Laurell K. Hamilton, Terry Pratchett, George R. R. Martin and David Eddings.

PS: Robert Jordan you suck for kicking the bucket before finishing The Wheel of Time Series.

For Action: Kishimoto Masashi-sensei
No doubt that he can make a manga in an indistinct era, and pull it off...
(I think he's the only one! lol ;)
For drama: Hino Matsuri-sensei
She can pull of a drama-comedy-action mix and have it look wonderful!
I learned how to draw from both of them, and I'm now making my own manga...lol
for book books, it would have to be between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, or Timothy Zahn, but more leaning toward Sir Arthur Conan Doyle...

I was a big fan of Anne Rice (and her works under other names), but the vampire stuff and her endless descriptions of New Orleans became tiresome. But her "Cry to Heaven" is still one of my favorites.

Lately everything that has held my interest has been non-fiction, though.
Top of the pile for now is Jung Chang ("Wild Swans" and "Mao") and Irwin R. Tang ("Asian Texans" and "Gook, John McCain's Racism"). Tang is difficult reading for anyone, but the detailed information and insight he can cram into a small book is incredible.

That Twilight idiot can't write for crap!

Anyways I love me some Edgar Rice Burroughs! I love his John Carter series and Tarzan

I think Danielle Steel can be considered my favorite author. Her novels are all interesting and very amazing. Those stories she wrote impressed me much.

utsu 11-21-2009 11:43 AM

Terry Pratchett
Bill Bryson

I really enjoy reading John Hersey's books along Brian Jaques. I am currently reading the olympians by Rick Riodan. Its going to make a pretty awsome movie in 2010.

Yasutaka Tsutsui and Yoshimura Akira wrote the best books I've ever read. Yasutaka has this collection of short stories called Salmonella Men on Planet Porno, and Yoshimura wrote On Parole and they're both just so unbelievably amazing.

Ryu Murakami is amazing, too, but...too much gore.

All time favorite is J.K. Rowling. You just have to love the HP series. Next are Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
