Postion women in Japan -

We are two students from the Netherlands. We are in the last year of our study and we have to write an essay. Our essay is about the position of women in Asia. For this essay we want to ask japanese people about women in the japanese society. If could answer the questions below, you clould really help us out. What does a normal day entail for the average Japanese women? 3. Is the average woman dependent of her husband? 3.2 Is family honour important? 3.3 Do you have arranged marriages? 4. What does society expect from women, if you look at: family planning, marriage, children, a job or education? 4.1 What is the average age for girls to get married? 5. Do women carry high of influence within the domestic environment? 5.1 Is there a difference in the level of emancipation in the city vs. the countryside? 5.2 What are the affairs considering inheritance? (Does the man inherit everything or the eldest member?) 6. Who plays the bigger role in society? 7. Are there equal career opportunities for women and men? 7.1 Do women carry any influence inside any of the political parties? 8. Is there any levels of corruption in Japan, if there is: are women disadvantaged by this? 8.1 Do women think about their political ideals, and do they come forward for them? 8.2 Are there more demonstrations than before? 9. Is corruption tolerated, or is it considered as something bad? 9.1 Are a lot of women involved in politics? 10Have there been changes in the position of women throughout the years? |
